About the Role
The Sr. Systems Engineer must be adept in handling the infrastructure of the company. Besides architecting, the successful candidate must be an expert in planning, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and enhancing computer networks and systems as well.
Responsibilities
Identify infrastructure issues and provide prompt and permanent resolution.
Active Directory infrastructure, GPOs and information security best practices.
Configure, test and maintain high availability solutions and virtualization infrastructure.
Perform system requirement analysis, review of subsystem design and interface specifications.
Configure and maintain system backups to ensure data integrity.
Configure and maintain monitoring software and respond/resolve alerts.
Design and maintenance of Windows based on-prem and SaaS infrastructure.
Investigate, diagnose and provide resolution of software and hardware problems.
Establish and maintain server backup schemes and data replication.
Document and improve operational/environmental practices and procedures.
Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
Maintain liaison with customer, subcontractor and vendor representatives.
Strong technical and analytical skills required for solving systems infrastructure issues.
Requirements
5+ years as a systems administrator in a Windows environment.
Should be in Los Angeles, CA
Microsoft Fundamentals
Working knowledge core Windows Systems
Working knowledge of current Microsoft operating systems configuration and deployment in an enterprise environment including:
Exchange
Active Directory Management
Azure AD Management
Domain Controller Management
Experience with Microsoft SQL
Azure (preferred) - setup infrastructure
Working knowledge in design and maintenance of a virtualized infrastructure using MS Hyper-V.
Storage solution experience including LUN management, SAN configuration, and storage network configuration with technologies such as Fiber Channel / iSCSI.
Working knowledge of internet networking, MPLS
Working knowledge of remote access solutions, FTP and VPNs.
Working knowledge of information security best practices (NIST, CIS)
A positive attitude, professional disposition and ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
