Sr. Security Engineer

About The Role
The Security Engineer, a member of Security Architecture & Engineering team in the Global Information Security (GIS) organization, is a key member supporting client's Global Information Security program by deploying and managing security controls for a global organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with security architecture, security operations, product security, and security governance to deploy and manage security controls, including hands on activities in support of our goals to scale, integrate, and automate security controls in the enterprise. You will also assist in the management of security controls and tools for the company, including providing recommendations for configuration changes in support of risk reduction.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Security Architecture & Engineering, you will employ your proven expertise to the deployment, management, and operations of Aristocrat’s enterprise security controls. Successful candidates will have a rich technical background in cybersecurity engineering and the ability to effectively communicate technical and business risk to appropriate audiences. This role works alongside key stakeholders and partners across Business Units to support security projects & objectives through a collaborative, risk based, approach.
Responsibilities

assist with the selection, testing, deployment, on-going management, operations, and maintenance of Aristocrat security controls
utilize expertise in cyber security architecture and engineering in support of programs, proposals, and corporate objectives
maintain timely, accurate, and communicate effectively reporting of the status and usage of security controls to, and for, executive level management
contribute to updates of global information security policies, standards, and technical security requirements
assist with the management and configuration of security controls for endpoints, cloud environments, and identity platforms
support the tracking of information security deficiencies, or opportunities for security risk improvement
provide subject matter expertise on cybersecurity best practices, strategies, and areas of opportunity to optimize security controls

Requirements
On day one, we'll expect you to...
have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity desired, or a related field and 6-10 years of relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
have a minimum of 5 - 8 years of practical experience building threat-based cybersecurity programs and designing and implementing security controls
be able to demonstrate experience in working with a geographically dispersed team
have a significant demonstrated experience working with Security Information Event Management (SIEM), Continuous Monitoring, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (ID/PS), Network Traffic Analysis, Incident Response, Endpoint Security Systems, Cloud Security tools, WLAN Monitoring, Privileged Access Management systems, and/or Threat Modeling
be an expert knowledge of information security technologies, networking, cloud, and infrastructure architecture in global capacity required
have the ability to manage complex troubleshooting issues
have a proven ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
have the ability to contribute to the organizational strategic thinking beyond area of responsibility
have an excellent collaboration skills – must be eager to work as part of a cohesive team and work as a partner to other teams within Aristocrat, Inc., locally and globally
have an exceptional communication skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve conflict
have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties
be willing to install next-generation endpoint protection on the computer
