Finance Business Analyst (ON HOLD)

About The Role 

Our client, a recognized leader in the gaming entertainment industry, seeks an accomplished Business Analyst - Data to become an integral part of IT PMO.  As a Business Analyst - Data, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical requirements across all aspects of Data-related projects.  Additionally, you will be working directly with the business to develop use cases and functional specifications documentation.

Responsibilities 

In this role, you'll get to

• Translate business requirements into technical delivery narratives including mock-ups, field requirements, descriptions of custom objects/fields needed, list view’s needed, reporting fields, junction objects, KPI’s and security requirements

• Demonstrate acumen with Anaplan or TM1, data feeds or data integration from a business analysis perspective

• Run in-person client workshops, working with customers and client stakeholders to understand and define technical requirements

• Work directly with the business to develop use cases and functional specifications documents.

• Work technical architects and development teams to assist with the delivery of projects and ensure that the solutions meet client business requirements

• Identify and interview internal/external subject matter experts as needed

• Collaborate with technology counterparts and development resources to create and validate business requirements and project specification documents to enable delivery to clients.

• Complete assessments of each internal organization’s business processes

• Create documentation that address and outline problem statements, process flows, gap analyses, and solution recommendations

• Collaborate with Business Owners to understand and support their overall business strategy.

• Collaborate with Development team to understand and document technical documentation as required.

• Participate in business case development, approval and prioritization process, shaping the IT contribution.

• Translate high-level business requirements into functional and technical specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.

Requirements 

On day one, we'll expect you to

• Have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another related field

• Possess 2+ years of previous data experience

• Have in-depth understanding of capabilities and constraints of E Anaplan or TM1, data feeds or data integration from a business analysis perspective

• Demonstrate effective analytical skills

• Have advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must

• Be experienced in soliciting, gathering and analyzing user input and requirements

• Have an experience authoring requirements, grooming user stories for agile development, and creating related documentation.

• Have an experience collaborating with business stakeholders, business process owners, technical project managers and technical teams to execute business analysis tasks.

• Be proficient in Microsoft Azure Dev Ops, Jira, Confluence, MS Office and other related tools

• Have business Analyst experience such as data collection, requirement documentation and executive presentation

• Have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties

• Be willing to install next-generation endpoint protection on the computer

• Be a US Citizen or a US Resident

• Be willing to work in US Pacific Time
